Spring is so nice. It gives you longer days. It gives you sunny skies. It gives you apple blossoms.
And, if you are like me, it gives you heinous allergies.
If this post is shorter (and less coherent) than usual, it’s thanks to a terrible sinus headache, the kind that makes you take solace in Advil, tea, and reruns of The Daily Show. It’s been low-grade all afternoon, but then, this evening: Kapow. Not fun.
I’m still trying to find the magic allergy med formula, alas. My hubby swears by Zyrtec, but when I took it for a few days, I woke up in the middle of the night every time. I don’t really want a medication that disrupts my sleep, because that is the job of my children, and they do not need any competition.
I’m keeping it all in perspective, because God knows there are many people in the world who are suffering significantly worse than I am. But in my little life, this is a major headache, literally and figuratively.
So what about you? Are you also a seasonal allergy sufferer? If so, what works for you? I’m all ears (and watery eyes, and stuffy nose).
