Today is the feast of the Immaculate Conception … a big Marian feast day.  It’s also one that tends to generate a great many questions, from Catholics and non-Catholics alike. The good folks at the University of Dayton, on their fabulous Mary Page, have a concise and fascinating explanation of the history of this celebration.  I learned a few new things myself!
