Flower power

It’s hard to dislike a sweet pea.  I have never met anyone who does.

These beauties are from the woman across the street, who brings me some every spring.   When I mentioned how much my mom would enjoy seeing and smelling the flowers next time she came to the house, my wonderful neighbor went back and cut some for Mom, too.

In the great lottery of neighbors, I clearly hit the jackpot.

I am always happier when there are fresh flowers in the house.  There’s some old proverb that goes, “If you have two loaves of bread, sell one, and buy a hyacinth to feed your soul.”  I couldn’t agree more.

  1. Ahh, I agree too. Thanks for the smile. 🙂

  2. Agreed! I love to wander outside and bring in flowers! What beautiful colors of sweet peas your neighbor has. And what a very sweet neighbor you have! 🙂
