I am finding beauty in my very own backyard today! I spent much time digging, pruning and feeding the various plants this spring. Sitting back and watching everything flourish does my heart good! When the bells chime in the wind, I drift off to another place. I say a silent “thanks” … I truly appreciate the peace and tranquility that this view brings me. 🙂
Loved the verse on your Grandma’s garden plaque. I have to agree with it! In fact I have so many plants and rose bushes that have been planted in my garden, in a dear one’s memory. When those chimes ring, I’m transported to another time and place or I feel my angels nearby.
Life is busy enough … we’re always hustling and bustling! Spending time in the garden, sitting and absorbing … is so peaceful.
Wishing you a day of peace and tranquility, Ginny!

Amanda, that sounds absolutely idyllic! There is something about a garden … they are such sacred places. My grandma had a garden plaque that said:
The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth;
One is nearer God’s heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
I agree. 🙂
