My super-exciting news

So for the last several weeks, I’ve been sitting on some pretty exciting news:

I have a book coming out next year!  

The title?  Random MOMents of Grace: Experiencing God in the Adventures of Motherhood.    The publisher?  Loyola Press.  The date?  April 1, 2013 (no fooling!).

What’s it about?    In a nutshell, it’s about how motherhood really is the ultimate spiritual workout. There are lessons — and grace — to be found in every skinned knee, vomit marathon, first day of preschool, and bubble-blowing session on the front lawn.   All of motherhood is prayer, actually — even though (let’s get real!) most of us don’t see it that way when we’re right in the middle of it.

If you like this blog, I think you’ll really like the book.   And the super-talented design folks at Loyola created an absolutely beautiful cover, the sneak preview of which had me floating on a cloud of excitement  (I can’t share it just yet, but I will as soon as I can!).

One last thing: thanks to all of you readers who come here and read my ramblings and post such kind comments.  Your feedback has encouraged me to take my motherhood musings beyond this online forum.  Thank you, from the bottom of my frazzled and excited mom heart.
