One million and one uses for a paper plate

Some people have an arts & crafts gene.  They see a paper plate and think, “Hey!  If I cut this in half, glue streamers to the bottom, and decorate the top part with eyes and sequins, it’ll look like a jellyfish!”

I do not have that gene.  Luckily, the boys’ preschool art teacher does.  Thanks to her, we have these absolutely adorable decorations in the house.

We have quite the marine motif going on here.  Our house looks like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, only without the tourists.

And you know what?  Forget what the home design magazines say.  If you want to add instant visual appeal to a room, put up a child’s art project.   There’s really nothing more appealing than that.
