  1. Wow. Thanks for sharing. One little sentence, two images that I can chew on for a very long time. Those beautiful, priceless paintings, but “a shadow.” I’m just renewing my love of Mary, but your post reminds me of how worthy of veneration she is, how special she was to be chosen by God, how brave she was to say “Yes,” and how long we can try to digest (and imitate) the love she exemplified.

    So glad you like the quotation. And Amen to everything you say about Mary. It took me a while to get there myself, but now, I look at her and see someone of so much courage and strength … paired, of course, with unconditonal love and tenderness. She’s what I aspire to be!
