Is it bad to pray to Mary more than Jesus?

    Ginny … I’ll have to head over and check out your post at Busted Halo, but for now, I’ll answer it here.

    I DO pray more to Mary than I do to Jesus. For myself, she’s much more approachable, more like me ( as a mother) and more of an example to me. I hope I expressed my thoughts without sounding sacreligous.

    Hi Dianna!

    Thanks so much for weighing in. Don’t worry at all — you actually expressed many of the themes that came through when I interviewed women for my book. Lots of women do feel that certain connection to Mary … myself included.

    The neat thing is that, as time passes, I also feel like she is nudging me a bit closer to Jesus. It reminds me of that old saying “To Jesus Through Mary.”
